Inverkip Community Hub

Inverkip Community Initiative (ICI) was set up in October 2013 as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) to establish, manage and maintain a new community facility for the benefit of the Inverkip Community.

The provision of the new facility will create opportunities for learning, sporting, health, recreation and social activities. ICI is led by a board of 10 volunteers drawn from the local community, who bring a wealth of skills and knowledge to the board.

Since the establishment of ICI, there has been an 18 month period of community consultation, this included two community drop in events and a postal survey, interviews with some local organisations to assess the level of demand for the hall and to determine the needs of the local community for the centre.

On the 16^th November 2015, ground was broken on the site of the new Community Centre with completion by October 2016.
